A new favorite place…

Every now and then we like to post about our favorite places to eat in downtown Las Vegas. This is our neighborhood and literally our neighbors. Some of our friends have had to close but new friends are opening and thriving already!

Our new favorite place to patronize and support is Smooth Eats. You may not have heard a lot about this small space at the corner of Carson and 6th (right around the corner from our friends at the Donut Bar). But this small “grab-n-go” joint is serving fresh, healthy treats at the right price for DTLV.

While they are still a few weeks from their official GRAND OPENING, they are up and running, and they have Dole Whip!

Here’s a few things we love about Smooth Eats already…

  • The Price. If you live in downtown you understand the desire to eat out a lot. There’s just good food on every corner. But who can afford it, right? That’s why Smooth Eats is so great. Full lunch sandwiches and Cali Toast for under $10. And if you have a coupon (easy to get) you can add a free smoothie to that order. The already inexpensive, $5/24oz., smoothie is delicious and healthy.
  • The People. Maybe we are partial to this place because the owners/operators are friends/family of Downtown Faith. We were so excited to welcome this new eatery to the neighborhood and this awesome couple (Chad & Lindsey) to our church. They have gotten plugged in doing music and helping in other ways as well. They both have big personalities and even bigger smiles. Stop by and say “hi!”
  • The Paninis. While we love the smoothies and Cali Toast, nothing fills you up like the panini. There’s a few options and they are all priced right. We like to add avocado to the roasted turkey. It’s the perfect, fresh quick lunch or dinner.

We hope you’ll treat yourself to some fresh treats at Smooth Eats soon. Also, follow them on Facebook, IG, and Twitter. Try them out and let us know what you think by commenting below. Join the discussion!
